This UK manufacturer sells its goods via a national distribution network and has selected inkanto Thermal Transfer Wax ribbons AWR®8 and AWR®470 to meet its requirements in terms of volume, competitiveness and print quality.
The challenge
Barcode labels are applied to the ceramic products sold through their distribution network, and logistics labels are applied to their packing boxes. The labels are paper (UPM Rafflatac) with both permanent and removable adhesive, and are overprinted using ZEBRA 170 XiIII+ printers.
The solution
The selection criteria, that convinced this customer to replace the Direct Thermal technology with Thermal Transfer, include print speed and the quality/price ratio achieved with such large volumes, as well as extended print head life.
